Logbook of the United States revenue cutter HENRIETTA, operating off the eastern coast of the United States. Bennett was a lieutenant in command of the ship. While patrolling the eastern coast from New England to the south, the HENRIETTA intercepted and seized on August 13, 1861, a British ship out of Wilmington, North Carolina, thus including participation in the blockade of the Confederacy with other duties.
